Why Your Suffering Matters

Over the next three weeks in March, we will be looking at suffering through the lens of Job's life and God's Sovereignty.  God teaches us much through this book of wisdom.  Often, we waste our suffering by blaming others, ourselves, or God.  God wants us to glorify God in our suffering by teaching us to trust Him in the midst of pain, problems, and uncertainty. Mark Dever summarizes the book of Job well when he writes, "we see that we often suffer, we sometimes understand, and we can always trust."  In this book, understanding who God is enables us to trust him.

If you haven't thought about your  trials of late, I ask you to consider them.  Not so that you will be overwhelmed in despair but that you will be overjoyed with God's presence in the midst of them.
