Trusting God is not easy. Jesus never said it would be. Yet, if we say we are Christians, we must obey his commands because He is the Son of God. He is God in the flesh. Jesus demonstrates his love for us in this, "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This is great news. While we were hopelessly dead in our sins, God provided a way to life. So, if we have turned from sin and have trusted in Christ, let us spur one another one towards obedience. Our obedience must not be man-centered or guilt-driven. It must be motivated by the gospel of grace. Today, you will have many opportunities to trust God as you go about your daily routine. Believe me, it is always better to trust in the Lord than to take your chances alone. So, church, let us make His name known together.
“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.” -- Proverbs 29:25
